Allston, MA's Today Junior are back with their fourth full-length album release titled "Stranger Days". The follow up to their 2023 self-titled release, the effort finds the trio of Mike O'Toole, his brother Harry, and bassist Jonathan Hislop at the peak of their creative powers and lyrical wisdom that is really a culmination of sorts since coming up through the local scene. Through different genre influences like psych-surf rock exemplified on their 2015 "Ride The Surf" album, the boys have found their creative zen den of sorts with a bevy of tunes that show a deeper side of the band that we haven't had the opportunity to see until now. With tracks like the previously released "Coastlines" and the newer ones "Werewolves of Boston" and "Keep On Pushing Me" demonstrating a explosion of talent and still retaining the old TJ charm from the good old days. But on my favorite track of the album that closes out the effort "So Long", the band wows with a magnum opus of sorts that shows everything that this band strives to be and longed to once become part of long ago. It's a fantastic track that ties everything on the album up in one neat, little package and one that you'll be coming back to time and time again.

You can check out "Stranger Days" on all major streaming services and on Bandcamp right here.
