Boston based indie folk maestro Dwayne Haggins has released his brand new album to listeners last Friday titled "Straggler". The disc is a pure, unadulterated beauty with Dwayne's passionate vocals and impeccable instrumentation from his backing band creates a truly top notch effort from front to back. I had the opportunity to interview him for my podcast a few years ago and checked him out in concert at the Regent Theatre in Arlington as well. To say I was blown away would be a gross understatement as he dominated in terms of sheer musicality and stage presence with his folk/R&B hybrid working wonders from the outset, and his wardrobe attire adds a vintage late 60's era look to it. With songs like my personal favorite "I Wish You Well", he has a lovely way of putting a song in perspective for the listener, and makes him a valuable presence and is just as important and vital as the person you're thinking about whenever you listen to Dwayne's music. He is beautiful and wise beyond his years, and this album deserves listens multiple times over to find your new favorite anthem.
You can listen to "Straggler" now up on all major streaming services and for more on Dwayne Haggins, give him a 'Like' on Facebook at this perch here, see his pics and vids on Instagram at this junction here, and please visit his official website at this spot here for upcoming show dates to your region relatively soon.
