Boston native pop-rock artist Kelsey Blackstone is partnering up with fellow Beantown natives Snorkeler on a co-headlining tour with Rijah opening up for them at City Winery in Boston on Nov. 9. Kelsey's sound is built upon a pop-rock aesthetic with anthemic vocals and a strong powerful churn that builds exponentially from the outset, and never lets up right until the very end. Her voice has that perfect balance between low key pop and high energy bombastic melodies that make her quite a treat for the ears and will be even more powerful when you check her out in concert. The one common thread about all three of the acts that I've mentioned here is that they all lived in Boston at one point, and they all attended Berklee College of Music that makes this local connection all the more appealing to those that have a strong affinity for local music in any way, shape, or form. I found her sound quite appealing, and the whole bill is stacked with raw talent that will keep you occupied throughout the whole night, and leave you wanting more by the time the show has concluded. It'd definitely be worth your while to squeeze this show into your schedule and open up your musical palette quite a bit.
