Boston Indie Sensations Barefoot Young Start Anew With 10/4 Show @ The Rockwell

Boston based indie stalwarts Barefoot Young are making their return to listeners hearts on Sat. 10/4 when they take the stage at The Rockwell in Davis Sq. in Somerville where they'll be joined alongside Talk Radio. The band have had a strong presence here on the site where they have been featured multiple times over, and I got the chance to interview the fellas last year on my podcast where they were super chill and friendly, and totally evokes their high energy indie dance rock sound that they evoke on record and on stage. Checking them out in concert last year at Deep Cuts in Medford was a privilege as their sound has elements of Foster The People with their own unique twist put to it, and strong instrumentation from everyone in the band creates quite an indelible musical mixture that you can't look away from. Lead singer Derek Bolivar has a tremendous voice and youthful charm that lures the masses in to see what the buzz is surrounding the band. The band released their album "Sleep Score" last year and are currently working on some new music that will be out relatively soon but in the meantime, please check these guys out as they have an inventive twist and are a tremendous asset to the local music scene.
