Boston's Own Baxter Hall Cuts Deep On Brand New EP "The Work" Out Today
Boston's own Baxter Hall is back with his cathartic and evocative new EP out to the world today called "The Work". The effort is a new glimpse inside the working framework of Baxter, who has been carving a name of himself over the last few years with his guitar virtuoso skills garnering him a big following in the region, and he's been a presence here on the site having interviewed him for my podcast and featured him on the site going back from his last LP, 2021's "Somewhere In My Guitar". On this new EP, Baxter shines some light on what's been going on in his life, namely with going no-contact with a parent and how that experience affects his day-to-day life. With tracks like "You Were The One", the title track, "Tricks", and "Way Too Easy", it acts as an emotional chronologue of sorts and Baxter doesn't hold back in his experiences whatsoever as he pours his heart and soul into every crevice of the effort. This effort is more than just a therapy session and is not a cry for help, it's an declarative statement that Baxter won't be held back by emotional abuse, and this effort brings out the best version of himself possible. An outstanding effort that is well worthy of repeat listens.
