Connecticut based singer-songwriter James MacPherson has released his much anticipated debut solo album to the world today titled "All This Happened". The effort is a stunning, beautiful effort with James's angelic voice soaring infinitely to the sky immediately upon the leadoff single "Arizona", and his presence is felt in some way, shape, or form all the way throughout that is quite simply breathtaking. James is also part of the collective Bonsai Trees with Nick Sokol that was featured here on the site before a couple of times, and was also the bassist for the band Manic Pixi several years ago. The moment I met him, I was floored and blown away by his talent, youthful good looks, and his penchant for crafting heartfelt lyricism that shines through immediately when you hear him sing. He has a real knack for making the audience the focal point for the music and making them the subject of the song at large. It's having that intimate experience that makes James such a joy and pleasure to listen and see in concert. An outstanding album that needs to be heard by all.
