Connecticut based country folkie Joshua Quimby has released his brand new single to the ears of listeners today called "Rotten". It's the second song from his forthcoming album "Piecemeal" that will be out on August 7th. The song is a raw, stripped, and unadulterated piece of joy that will grab your attention instantenously upon first listen. Joshua's raw and weathered voice fit in with the country folk aesthetic that he has immersed himself in right from the very beginning. I was beyond stunned when I first discovered him after he gained some traction and publicity earlier this year with his Drake Maye tribute vid during the Patriots Super Bowl run. He is a beautiful and poetic soul who is presented as he is to the world without any filter whatsoever, and that comes through in the lyrics along with just hearing his voice makes it feel like he's right there with you singing and pouring his heart out to you. A terrific track that is worthy of repeat listening.
