Medford, MA based An Triangles is gearing up for a big weekend show happening tomorrow 3/9 at the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, MA alongside Annelise Eppen, Francesco Zenati, and Statue Band. The brainchild of Doug Poppe, he is an immensely talented and gifted singer-songwriter who has immense amount of musical wealth and wisdom to share with his audience. His music evokes the likes of Elliott Smith and Silver Jews with the same resolve and emotional effect that will make you fall head over heels for him upon first listen. I had the opportunity and privilege of interviewing him for my podcast a couple of years ago, and I was really drawn to his serene and laid-back persona that showed just how pleasant and talented he is inside and out. He doesn't feel the need to beat around the bushes or hide behind a persona, what you see is what you get and it’d certainly be worth your time to get a refreshing insight as to who he is as a musician and as a person in a live setting.
