Somerville Based Watson Park Set To Play Deep Cuts on Thur. 8/13 w/ The Spine Stealers & Scrivener

Originally from NH but based in Somerville comes the dynamic indie rock sounds of Watson Park, who are set to play a big local show next Thur. 8/13 at Deep Cuts in Medford where they'll be joined alongside The Spine Stealers and Scrivener in what is sure to be a frolicking good time for all in attendance that evening. I've been a huge believer in Watson Park from the start, having interviewed frontman Evan Ringle on my podcast a couple of years ago whom I find to be a charming and comfortable presence as he has a modest and unassuming way about him that comes across in his music as well. Also featuring Troy Hartmann on vocals/lead guitar, Ryan Sinclair on drums, and Mik Jeromineck on bass, the band's sound has a indie folk sound spread throughout to give the group a fully fledged out sound that is unlike any other local band currently out there today. I've seen them perform live a couple of times before, and I'm always amazed at how mellow and low key their sound is which provides for easy audience involvement with the crowd. The band is not built on flashy hooks or pop sensibilities, the only requirement for the audience is to develop a positive relationship with the band and develop a kinship that is quite apparent at how much the band members love being around one another and playing together. An incredible act that is worthy of exploring for the first time.
