NYC's own The Harmonica Lewinskies have just put out the upbeat and diverse sounding "Sari Girl". The expansive, nine-piece group with an extremely bad-ass name runs all over the map genrewise, but one of their hallmarks is their brass section that really shines through brightly on record, and shows off the fun and loose personalities that comprise the group that is also visible on stage during their perfrormances. I had to cover the guys mostly due to their name, but their music definitely has that colorful and out-there vibe to it that we don't see much of these days, but is a welcome respite from all the other stuff polluting the airwaves and is a breath of fresh air to hear in its completed fashion.
