Starting off your Wednesday with another entry in my ongoing Berklee premiere live video series! Today, we feature an emerging artist straight out of The Bahamas called Selah Poitier. Selah has a funky, fresh blend of reggae infused jams that run the gamut across the whole musical spectrum to incorporate elements of jazz fusion, and even some classical sprinked about throughout the musical makeup to create something truly unique and groundbreaking. On this track titled "I've Learned To Love Me", Selah makes her presence known to the musical audience watching on this glorious vid shot on the stages of the famed Cafe 939, with her fellow band members each putting in parts of their own personality, and translating it for us into simple musical terms. With glorious cello interludes and lightly toned percussion arrangements, Selah makes her case as a performer that has a bright future ahead, and is definitely an artist to watch out for in the new year.
