Originally from Philadelphia, but now based in New York City comes the smooth and evocative musical stylings of Jesse Ruben, who just released his brand new music video titled "This Is Why I Need You", off his upcoming EP A Reply To Violence. The clip introduces us to Jesse's simply structured playing style, which exudes confidence and charm with a terrific clip that uses the assembly of puzzle pieces to tell the story at hand to pour Jesse's feelings right out into the open. I was a relative unknown to his music, but I'm so glad I got the opportunity as Jesse really embodies the confidence of a singer-songwriter beginning to come into his prime, and embrace the offerings that are starting to pile in for him. Many other performers use a bevy of instrumentation to get their message across, but Jesse only has to use the soft licks of the guitar shadowed by the mellow chestnut body of the guitar that embodies the warm musical glow that Jesse emanates at every turn. A tremendous talent that is starting to pave his own way.
