Port Moody, British Columbia's own Sam The Astronaut are helping everyone enjoy the winding days of summer with their colorful, brand new album titled "Girls of Summer". The effort has a high energy synth influence coupled with an indie dream pop glaze that sets things in motion right away, and puts the trio right into the thick of it. Frontman TJ Gibson has a strong vocal presence that allows him to navigate through the tight confines of the song that has a youthful vibe to it and makes it feel like you're cruising around with your buddies, soaking up the good vibes and strong rays of the winding days of summer. I loved these guys right from the get go, and they bring back a youthful conscience to music and allows you to reflect on time spent with the ones you love and have that emotional bonding that is the core and essence of what music is all about. These guys definitely have a bright future ahead of them, and their music is definitely recommended if you're looking to take a pause for some quiet reflection of all the great times you've had this summer.
