Boston based indie singer-songwriter Alex Navarro offers a bold and unflinching sound on his brilliant new single "The Wayward". The track features an intricate and beautiful piano arrangement that couples along well with Alex's smoky and dignified vocals that definitely hits an emotional nerve the minute your first hear it. I was pleasantly surprised with what I heard from Alex, granted that I don't listen to this type of music regularly but I decided to take a chance on him as he offers up a different breed of singer-songwriter that you don't see around too often these days. Many other musicians have a different method of connecting with listeners either through something in their lyrics, a guitar melody, or a certain chorus that becomes lodged in your head. With Alex, it's just his musical presence and overall talent that raptures listeners from the outset, and he definitely forces you to pay attention to his marvelous voice that has all sorts of stories to tell you for your listening pleasure. An unbelievable talent that you should definitely consider in having a listen to.
