From the outskirts of Montclair, NJ comes the indie folk sounds of Stolen Jars, who will be making their presence known when they take the stage at Great Scott this coming Wed. 7/12, touring in support of their just released EP "Glint". The magic behind their EP is that each song on it has an accompanying music video to simulate the musical images that are apparent in each individual song. It's quite unusual to have 5 different videos to correlate with each song, but after viewing them all I must say that the results are quite extraordinary. The band have a very mellow, ethereal nature to them that is beautiful, potent, and stirs up some strong emotions emanating strongly from inside of you that leads to an all along enjoyable experience. I had a great feeling from these guys even before I started listening to them, and I know firsthand that their music will definitely take them on a journey that will lead them into contact with scores of people that will be affected in some way, shape, or form as a result of listening to their music directly. An incredible act that is best experienced live in person.
