Locally based indie rockers Tipling Rock are set to take their talents to the stage tonight when they hit up ONCE Somerville alongside Magic City Hippies. These guys may be a new blip on your musical radar, but they pack quite a punch with their melodic overtones creating quite an impression, along with swooning guitar licks and an overall easy going way about them that will make you feel you're in a daydream watching these guys perform. Their music is within the Vampire Weekend and Viola Beach framework, but with their own musical thumbprint to give off a sense of originality and essence which is just exploding all over the musical spectrum. I was enthralled from first listen from the gents, and they most certainly have a strong musical self esteem that will set them a long way forward in this scene. You'll definitely want to hold onto these guys just a little longer as they have that easy going charm and good looking sensibility that will draw you to them for a purpose, and the message they have contained is located within their immense beauty and musical wonder.
