Boston based pop-punkers Paper Hearts are gearing for their first show of the New Year, and their first one in a long time with a show as part of The Burren's Backroom Series taking place next Thursday 1/11, right in the heart of Davis Square in Somerville. The guys have been an obsession of mine over the last few months with their authentic and throwback pop-punk riffs making hearts skip a beat, and putting the guys on a high pedestal for all to look and marvel at. I had the pleasure of interviewing the guys on the podcast back in August, and I was blown away by the guy's authenticity and laid back personas and charm that really make the guys a hot commodity and star attraction right from the start. It will definitely be worth your while to check out these guys as they embody the spirit and enthusiasm of pop-punk that for some reason never leaves us as we get older. Being a huge aficionado of the genre since my high school days, I'll definitely be in attendance at this one as their melodies and hooks are can't miss material.
