Boston's own Maxwell Bailey has released a live version of his debut EP just today titled "In Between". Originally hailing from Rochester, NY but now calling Boston his home, Maxwell has a passionate and mellow voice that is evocative of his upbringing and accentuates his talents directly for the listener to marvel over. I was on board with Maxwell right from the get go, and he seems to have a strong confidence in his talents that allow him to open up his personality to those around him who may not be too familiar with his music in the first place. Maxwell was up to the challenge when he decided to record this EP live all in one day back in February at an Airbnb he rented. He wanted the effort to reflect a raw, stripped down affair where there is clean vocal work, and a low key guitar sound that is more suited to his style and reflective of where he is at this stage of his life. You'll definitely find something very comforting and down to earth about Maxwell's music when you dip your toes into it for the first time, and it's definitely worth taking the plunge of experiencing.
