Philly based nu-hula outfit Vacationer are setting their sights on the Boston area this weekend when they play Brighton Music Hall this Sun. 7/15. The band released their third full length LP "Mindset" back in June and it's in my opinion, the best work they've ever released and is already generating incredible buzz and shows considerable growth from their prior material. Frontman Kenny Vasoli whom you may remember from The Starting Line and Person L has outdid himself once again with majestic soundscapes and a creative persona unmatched and unheralded like no other, with stunning melodies and a top notch backing band to match that really encapsulates the love and feel of summer so eloquently. I've seen these guys almost every time they play in Boston, and I grow more impressed with them after each show as the music has grown more intricate, more beautiful, and more pronounced over time. Kenny has been my musical hero since my high school days, and getting the chance to meet and know him on a more personal level has been one of the thrills in my life, and I'm so glad that he's given us the gift of music and allowing us to share his passion with all those around.
