Splitting their time between Vermont and Montana, The Essex Green are set for a big local show happening tonight at Great Scott alongside local up and comers Dutch Tulips. The Essex Green are making a big comeback with the release of their brand new album "Hardly Electronic", their first release in 12 years. The band have an innate, beautiful, and captivating indie pop blend that shows the harmonic spark that resonates so strongly within the mainframe of the group. This was my first time hearing of The Essex Green, and the album shows that longing for youth and carefree summertime fun that is accurately portrayed both in the sound and on the cover art of the album as well. It's clearly evident how much the group loves playing together, and they couldn't stay away from the limelight for long as they'll be touring for a good portion of the summer, and into the fall as well. A tremendous indie act that is worthy of exploring for the first time in person.
