Grand Rapids, MI based indie outfit Pretoria are back with their brand new single out today called "Gently". The track is more downtempo than some of their material from their debut EP "Cape Town", but still packs quite an emotional punch with the band's easy going melodies and warm, inviting personalities making an immediate impact upon first listen. I featured these guys back in July upon the release of "Cape Town", and was immediately drawn to the group's swooning good looks and youthful resolve that made me listen to every word and note coming from their general vicinity. It almost acts like as if they're a magnetic pulse drawing people in with their aura and immense musical talents present at every turn. The band's influences range from The Beach Boys to more contemporary ones like their absolute idols and heroes in Vampire Weekend where you can really see the effect and impact those acts have had on them. I've been absolutely obsessed with these guys ever since I heard them, and are destined to achieve greater success far beyond the confines of their hometown. A group that have become surefire poster boys for everyone obsessed with indie music, and a track that will most certainly have a profound impact on you.
