LA based outfit Franchise Quarterback has released their debut effort today titled "Horsemen". The sound is a grunge laden paradise, but with a more modernized twist that makes the songs pop and sizzle right out of the gate. The band is the brainchild of Boston native Drew Lucas, whom you may also remember from his work with The Relevant Elephants and his solo work as well. With this new outfit, Drew continues to elevate his craft and present a different facet of his personality to an open and willing audience who will ultimately be very receptive to his work. I loved the approach that Drew took with this new project, and the songs had quite a bit of distortion and fuzz that just adds to the aura and sophistication bound at every turn. You'll definitely find a common ground with Franchise Quarterback, and it will be just a matter of time before you've become completely infatuated with them. An incredible new act that is worthy of checking out.
