The unofficial start of summer is just around the corner, and with that comes the return of my annual "Bands of Summer" shirtless photo special! An annual fixture here on the site, this special has become a mainstay with artists both locally and outside of the region getting a chance to showcase a different side of them by bearing some skin, and bring about a sense of awe and wonder revealing a side of artists we haven't seen before. This contest is open up to all bands/musicians regardless of location, and everyone is encouraged to be creative and go above and beyond to show off those shirtless bods. Here are the criteria for photo submissions:
- The pic must contain one or all members of the group appearing shirtless, whichever they feel comfortable with.
- Pics must show visible nudity below the shoulders, no headshots please!
- Artists are encouraged to be creative and find wacky elements when it comes to showing off nudity for the camera, make it fun!
You can submit all photos to: musicboxpete@gmail.com. The submission deadline for this year is Wed. Aug 31th, so step up to the plate and show off those beach bods that you've been working on!
