Boston based pop/synth singer-songwriter Jason Ebbs is back with his nostaglia infused new single out last week titled "90's Kid". This song hits at a different angle than some of his other synth fueled pleasures that he's cranked out over the last few summers, but this one has more of a mid-tempo balance that allows you to accentuate on Jason's smooth vocal delivery, and the bevy of instrumentation that is present in the background to create a sonic bliss that you won't be able to escape from. Jason has been featured on the site numerous times and has been a close friend of mine for awhile now, and I'm always impressed at what he churns out musically on a regular basis and having that constant longing for everything in our youth that made us who we are is something that everyone can relate to. It would be easy to travel back in time and experience the magics of yesteryear, but Jason keeps us rooted in the present while still embracing the spirit of our youth albeit in a more grown up and rooted state of mind. A terrific track that allows you to finish out your summer strong.
